adidas and La Real Federación Española de Fútbol unveiled the highly anticipated EURO 2016 home kit of defending European champions Spain in Madrid on Tuesday. The new jersey will be available at World Soccer Shop, Subside Sports, Kitbag, UK Soccer Shop and Lovell Soccer.
The launch was attended by the entire Spanish team called up by manager Vicente del Bosque for La Roja’s friendlies with England and Belgium during the international break.
The kit was released with the theme “Who wants it?” / “¿Quién lo quiere?” The message is intended to convey the fact that the Spanish national team is committed to defend their back to back EURO titles and whoever wants it has to get past them.
The full mantra of the event was: Do you want a little action? Good. That’s what we want to hear. Show us your game. We like challenges and love defending our own. We have the wish of being champions running through our veins. We want to taste victory. We have the skill, natural talent… And we also have the Cup. So come on. We’re waiting. We’re ready. And no one wants it more than us. Do you want it?
The Spain EURO 2016 adidas home jersey has a classic design that sees the return of blue shorts and socks. A pattern of interlocked triangles on the shirt is the key feature of the jersey and characterizes the triangular passing style of the Spanish teams of 2008 to 2012 that won EURO 2008, EURO 2012 and FIFA World Cup 2010.
It pays tribute to a playing style that has managed to dominate world football and that will be present not only on the pitch but on the jersey.
The kit uses a classic v-neck style with adidas’ stripes running down its flanks. The stripes, adidas logo and RFEF crest are all yellow while the sleeve cuffs are in two dark shades of blue.
