Paris Saint-Germain Unveil Black 2015/16 Nike Third Kit

Last season’s treble (French Ligue 1, Coupe de France and Couple de la Ligue) winners Paris Saint-Germain today unveiled an all black Nike third kit for their 2015/16 domestic and UEFA Champions League campaigns.

The stunning new jersey will be available at World Soccer Shop, Kitbag, UK Soccer Shop and Subside Sports along with the the 15/16 PSG home and away shirts.

According to Nike: French Champions Paris Saint-Germain add Nike Dark Light to their 2015-16 kit line-up, infusing the City of Light (La Ville Lumière) with a distinct, dark aesthetic.

Detailing on the torso, sleeves and lower back accentuates the players’ powerful presence, while a modern take on the club’s famed crest – reimagined in black, white and grey – sits proudly on the chest.

Subtle dark grey shading trims the back of the shirt’s V-neck collar and runs in a stripe down each flank, continuing onto the shorts. The dark hue also distinguishes chevrons along the length of the calf.

Contrasting with the dark base, flashes of bright pink impart a youthful edge. Player names and numbers are rendered in a textured typeface comprised of two shades of the color.

These accents extend to the full Nike Dark Light apparel collection, including the Nike F.C. Banner Tee, Paris Saint-Germain Crest Tee and a special edition Nike Pro Combat baselayer that will not be worn in competitive action by Paris Saint-Germain but is available for fans.

The imposing, dominant aesthetic with which Nike Dark Light outfits Paris Saint-Germain is brought to life in a Mathieu Cesar-directed and Kavinsky-soundtracked short film starring David Luiz, Blaise Matuidi, Thiago Silva, Edinson Cavani and Marquinhos.

Paris Saint-Germain will wear Nike Dark Light for a number of vital matches throughout the 2015-16 campaign.
