CR Flamengo 2015/16 adidas Away Kit

Former world club champions Clube de Regatas do Flamengo have looked to their storied past for the inspiration behind 2015 adidas home kit.

Slated for a match debut during Sunday’s Campeonato Brasileiro Série A meeting with Palmeiras, the new kit combines modern sportswear technology with retro elements that include Flamengo’s traditional alternate white and the team’s first crest. The badge in question was used from the Rubro-Negro’s (Scarlet-Black)  founding in 1895 until 1944.

The touch of modernity is incorporated into the Flamengo 2015/16 away jersey via small horizontal lines evenly spread along its front. An imposing band in two shades of red and black highlight the front of the shirt.

White kits are held in high regard by Flamengo’s large international fan base since the team won the 1981 Intercontinental Cup (predecessor to the FIFA World Club Cup) in an away uniform.
