FC Shakhtar Donetsk 2015/16 Nike Home Kit

FC Shakhtar Donetsk today revealed their Nike home kit for their 2015/16 Ukrainian Premier League and UEFA Champions League campaigns.

According to the The Hirnyky (Miners) website: The renewed jersey has a richer orange colour which reflects the energy of the club. Black stripes on a bright-orange background on both sides of shirts are the new design feature alongside the orange sleeves made as a single element along the entire length of the shoulder.

The neckline has been updated with an adaptive style secures comfort and lightness for the players. The polo collar on the shirt has buttons, which not only adds style, but also serve a very specific purpose: to protect the players’ necks from direct sunlight. The style’s completeness is accentuated by black shorts with orange stripes on the sides, and by orange socks with a special pattern on the back of the lower leg.

Premier League champions for five of the last six seasons, Shakhtar Donetsk has emerged in Europe over the past few years with one UEFA Europa Cup title (2009) and a quarter-final appearance in the UEFA Champions League (2011). The club is known for recruiting Brazilian players who are later sold at profits to bigger clubs. They’ve included Luiz Adriano (AC Milan), Fernandinho (Manchester City) and Willian (Chelsea FC) in recent times.
