A now resurgent Valencia Club de Fútbol wore their 2015/16 adidas away kit for the first time during their impressive 2-2 against Spanish La Liga title hopefuls Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Saturday. It will be available at World Soccer Shop, Kitbag, Subside Sports and UK Soccer Shop.
Los Che’s new alternate shirt is also called “La Camiseta Senyera” (The Senyera Shirt) because it is based on it uses the red and yellow stripes of the Catalan flag. The flag is called La Senyera. The blue of the autonomous community of Valencia and the team’s crest is present in the shoulder and sleeve cuffs of the jersey. The accompanying shorts and socks are also blue.
The kit is inspired by the shirt worn by Valencia in the 1979 Copa del Rey final. Los Che defeated Real Madrid 2-0 courtesy of a brace from Argentine legend Mario Kempes in the match to claim their fifth Spanish Cup crown.
The Valencia 15/16 adidas away kit uses a new design from the German first that incorporates mesh accenting in its v-neck collar, sleeve cuffs and waistline. The template has also been used for the Northern Ireland 15/16 away and Yokohama F. Marinos 2015 home jerseys.
Valencia are currently will wear adidas kits for the second season in succession during their 2015/16 domestic and European campaigns. The six-time La Liga champions had signed with the firm last summer after three years with Joma.
