Esporte Clube Bahia’s four year run in Brazil’s top tier of soccer (the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A) ended with relegation this past weekend. The end of the 2014 season also saw the club switch kit providers from Nike to Penalty.
EC Bahia debuted their mainly white 2014 Penalty home kit during their penultimate match of the season (a 1-0 win over Gremio) a week and a half ago. Their red and blue striped away uniform saw action for the first time during the 3-2 loss at Coritiba that resulted in their drop to Série B.
Among Northeast Brazil’s most popular teams, Bahia has produced several national team players including Dani Alves (FC Barcelona) and Serginho (AC Milan).
