Managed by former USA international Thomas Dooley, the Philippines men’s national football team can secure a spot in the semi-finals of the AFF Suzuki Cup for the third competition in a row with a win over Indonesia on Tuesday.
The Azkals (Street Dogs) are in their second international season wearing PUMA kits during the 2014/15 calendar. Both use a jersey design from the German firm that has been out since the lead up to EURO 2012. Their home shirt uses a blue base with white and red in the upper chest area.
The away kit is a white affair with a red collar and blue in the badge area. the Filipino national flag is printed on the kits’ left sleeves. The alternate jersey is currently available online at Subside Sports.
Among Asia’s emerging footballing nations, the Philippines are currently ranked 129th in the world by FIFA. Former Chelsea FC youth players James and Phil Younghusband and Sporting Kansas City’s Martin Steuble are among the many foreign-born players on the Azkals squad.
