adidas Rugby and the Fédération française de rugby (FFR) have released the 2014/15 home kit that will be worn by Le XV de France during the 2015 Six Nations tournament and in their preparation for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Les Bleus will debut the new uniform when they take on Pacific power Fiji at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille on Novemeber 8th. The match is the first 2015 Autumn International for both teams.
Available soon at World Rugby Shop, Kitbag and Lovell Rugby, the France 2014/15 home kit sees the team in a brand new adidas rugby kit design with a lighter shade of blue than other French kits of recent memory. Dark blue is included via bands on the sleeves, at the collar and in the adidas stripes on the shoulders. The red of the France national flag pepper the new jersey in the collar and sleeve areas.
The initials of the FFR appear at the base of the shirt’s placket while the adidas hashtag of #allbelus is printed on the inside rear neck taping along with “engineers for backs.” The uniform is completed by navy blue shorts and blue socks with navy blue stripes.
Ranked seventh in the world by the IRB, the France rugby union team is regarded as the sport’s strongest side in continental Europe. The team has won five Six Nations titles and has appeared in the final of the World Cup on three occasions.
