Argentina’s Club Atlético Independiente debuted their 2014/15 PUMA away kit during Sunday’s 3-1 Primera Division win over Tigre.
The mainly white jersey celebrates CAI’s storied past by resurrecting the very first crest used by the sixteen time league and seven time Copa Libertadores champions when they moved from the Monserrat neighborhood of Buenos Aires to the Avellaneda area in 1907.
The Independiente 2014/15 PUMA away shirt uses a modern design with a series of tonal stripes throughout. It has a widened v-neck that is accented in the club’s famous red. Red also appears on the sleeve cuffs and on the jersey’s PUMA branding. Sponsor logos are in all black. A brief history of the retro badge on the shirt is printed in cursive font on the inside neck area.
Back in La Primera after one season in the second division, CA Independiente are currently in third position in Argentina’s top tier of football after thirteen matches played in the season.
