Cyprus shocked 2014 World Cup qualifiers Bosnia and Herzegovina with a 2-1 away win to start their UEFA EURO 2016 qualification campaign on Tuesday. During the match, the rapidly improving Cyprus men’s national football team wore their 2014/16 adidas home kit.
In the blue and white of the Cyprus Football Association crest, the team’s new shirt uses the adidas Tiro 13 template that was first seen in mid-2013 via the 13/14 Fulham FC third, West Brom home and Hearts home jerseys among others.
The shirt features oversized sleeves by today’s standards that are reminiscent of the kits of the 1990s. Its modern crewneck collar is highlighted by a contrasting insert in the shape of a Chevron.
With a host of players from Champions League group stage team APOEL on its roster, Cyprus is currently ranked 140th in the world by FIFA.
