Club Deportivo Guadalajara, commonly referred to as Chivas or Chivas de Guadalajara, unveiled their adidas home jersey for the Liga MX Apertura 2014 and Clausura 2015 seasons on Friday.
Modeled by players Fernando Arce, volante Ángel Reyna, Alberto García ‘Guamerú’ Jr. and others at its launch event, the latest Chivas home shirt will be available at World Soccer Shop and Tienda Fútbol Mundial.
Chivas’ 14/15 adidas home jersey takes uses the club’s familiar red and white vertical stripes with white sleeves. The use of the dark blue on the Chivas crest is reduced this year with the color only appearing on the kit’s adidas shoulder stripes.
The shirt has a classic v-neck collar in white inspired by the kits worn by Chivas during the nineteen sixties. The club won six Mexican Primera División titles during what was the most successful period of its storied history.
Chivas de Guadalajara are expected to debut their 2014/15 home jersey during Sunday’s Liga MX Apertura 2014 season opener against Chiapas.
