Spain’s Valencia Club de Fútbol unveiled their 2014/15 home kit from new technical partner adidas on Tuesday. In the well-know white of Los Che (The Bats), the new jersey was worn in a subsequent 5-1 win over German lower league side SpVgg Bayreuth.
According to the VCF website: At an event in Herzogenaurach, the headquarters of German sports brand adidas, VCF President Amadeo Salvo and adidas’ Lorenzo Reich unveiled the new Valencia CF shirt for the coming season. The contract between the two entities will run for 5 seasons -coinciding with the centenary of the club which was founded in 1919.
The home kit has a classic and historic design. Fully exclusive to the club, with a retro inspiration, the shirt has a sober look with orange and black flourishes on the collar and sleeves. The shorts will be a combination of black and white, and the socks will be adorned with the club’s symbolic bat.
In terms of technical details, the shirt is the lightest available on the market, weighing only 100 grams. Using adizero technology, the player is provided with additional ventilation, which helps them to stay dry for 90 minutes.
It is designed to feel like a second skin, giving maximum freedom of movement and providing a tight fit. In addition, Climacool technology offers total control of heat and sweat, thus enhancing ventilation for the players.
On the left sleeve is a patch publicising Gloval Respect, a movement for social responsibility set up by Valencia CF that promotes the personal growth of young players -as well as their professional development as athletes.
The Valencia CF 2014/15 adidas home kit will be available at World Soccer Shop, Kitbag, Subside Sports and UK Soccer Shop.
