Sunderland AFC have followed the recent launch of their new away kit with today’s reveal of their adidas home uniform for their 2014/15 English Premier League and cup seasons.
According to The Black Cats’ website: The traditional red and white striped shirt (available soon at UK Soccer Shop, Subside Sports and Kitbag), manufactured by adidas and sporting the name of principal club partner Bidvest, is accented with black panels and a striking gold trim. The close fitting design features adidas’ patented Climacool fabric and is complimented by the kit partners’ iconic three white stripes logo.
The shorts are traditional black, set off by a red trim and adidas detailing and the socks are black with a red trim.
The kit was modelled in a recent photo-shoot by Black Cats stars John O’Shea and Steven Fletcher, whilst goalkeeper Vito Mannone donned a new-look goalkeeper shirt which will also be available in club stores.
Speaking about the home strip, John said: “Wherever you go in the city you see the red and white stripes, Its evident for all to see just how proud the fans are of their iconic kit and we as players share in that pride every time we pull on the shirt.”
