Follwing last week’s release of their new home strip, Aston Villa Football Club unveiled a mainy white Macron away kit for their 2014/15 season on Monay.
According to the AVFC website the Aston Villa 2014/15 away jersey was developed in collaboration with Italy’s Macron to embody the club’s longstanding traditions while remaining in tune with the latest in football fashion and apparel technology.
The white body and claret pinstripes of the kit is inspired by the away shirt worn by Aston Villa in 1982 when the team won the European Cup (predecessor the the UEFA Champions League) and European Super Cup. Villa had won the English First Division (now the English Premier League) the season before.
A couple of other notable features of the Aston Villa 2014/15 Macron away kit are a retro-styled ribbed v-neck and a standing collar. The team’s motto of “Prepared” is printed on the inside neckline of the jersey while the Villa lion is printed on the outside upper back of the kit.
Aston Villa will debut their 14/15 home and away uniforms in July when the kick off their pre-season.
