Spanish La Liga champions Atlético Madrid have revealed a modified version of their 2013/14 Nike home kit that will be worn during Saturday’s UEFA Champions League Final.
The shirt that manager Diego Simeone’s team will wear during their clash with Real Madrid at the Estádio da Luz, Lisbon includes the name of club legend and former Spain manager Luis Aragonés printed in gold on its inside neck area.
Aragonés scored Atlético’s goal during their only prior Champions League (then the European Cup) Final appearance in 1974 – a 1-1 draw with FC Bayern Munich that forced a replay. He played a total of 372 matches for the club between 1964 and 1974.
