Flatter fabric, the use of titanium and first of their kind 3D aluminium cooling spheres work together to lower body temperature to more optimum levels. During development, the technology was rigorously tested in adidas’ ‘Climachamber’, with temperatures as high as 50°C.

Groundbreaking SubZero flat yarn containing titanium is woven throughout the inside of each Climachill product, conducting heat away from the body and giving a refreshing, cool-to-the-touch feel. The flatter fabric also takes excessive moisture from the skin ensuring the wearer is constantly dry, for maximum comfort even in extreme conditions. The revolutionary 3D aluminium cooling spheres are strategically located to correspond with the warmest areas of the body, cooling skin down instantly upon contact.

adidas understands the importance of temperature management to enhance performance. Lowering body temperature in warm conditions means the wearer can train harder for longer, look better, and retain focus.

David Beckham, Climachill ambassador commented on the new range: ‘Playing and training in extreme conditions can be very challenging both mentally and physically. In my time as a player I have played in cold conditions in the North of England and in very hot climate in the US – weather can really make a difference to an athlete’s performance. The technology used in the Climachill range will really help athletes concentrate on their game so they can perform at their best, even in the harshest of conditions.’

The Climachill range includes training, tennis and outdoor wear and is available from 1 April, instore and online at Kitbag and adidas.co.uk/climachill.
