PUMA has released the Senegal 2014/15 home football shirt that will be worn by the likes of Papiss Cissé (Newcastle United) and Demba Ba (Chelsea FC) and the rest of their mainly European-based team during their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign. The new kit is now available at Subside Sportsand UK Soccer Shop.
The 2014/15 Senegal jersey is predominantly white with red PUMA logos and yellow splashes in the neck area. An African inspired graphic appears in gray in the neck and underarm areas. The teams nickname of Les Lions de la Teranga (The Lions of the Teranga) is prominently featured in the design.
Ranked 69th in the world by FIFA, Senegal missed out on qualification for the 2014 World Cup when they lost 4-2 on aggregate to the Ivory Coast in the African zone playoffs. Les Lions made it to the quarter-finals of World Cup 2002 in their only appearance in the competition.
