Three-time Uruguayan Primera División champions Danubio Fútbol Club recently unveiled their 2014 home, away and third kits from technical sponsor Umbro.
Launched with the “Tailored by Umbro” concept that the UK-based firm has used for the past few years, the 2014 Danubio jerseys feature pronounced polo collars and black sashes inspired by those on the club’s first kit.
The new shirts have several other elements celebrating the history of the club. They include the date of the team’s founding on its right shoulder via the embroidery “1° de Marzo de 1932”. Danubio’s three league titles are recognized via golden stars above the club badge.
Last Uruguayan champions on in 2007, Danubio has featured national team players such as Álvaro Recoba, Marcelo Zalayeta, Rubén Olivera and Edinson Cavani over the past two decades.
