adidas has unveiled the 2014 World Cup home kit for defending world and European champions Spain.
The new La Roja strip will be available at the following online retailers leading into next year’s World Cup in Brazil.
The Spain 2014 World Cup home shirt was revealed in a joint effort between adidas and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (Real Federación Española de Fútbol) at the Teatro Compac in Madrid. Spain national team regulars and adidas atheletes Iker Casillas, David Villa and Sergio Ramos were among the models for the new kit.
The new Spain jersey is predominantly red. It features pinstripes in a darker tone of red that the shirt’s base and golden adidas stripes on its sleeves. The adidas logo is also gold along with portions of the RFEF badge.
The FIFA World Cup 2010 Champions badge is embroidered on the right breast of the kit while a golden stripe runs across its upper back area. The Spain World Cup uniform is completed with red socks and shorts.
Released using the theme “la roja o ninguna” (The Red or nothing), Spain’s 2014 home kit is inspired by what the RFEF calls the team’s golden era from 2008 to 2012. During this period Spain won two EURO titles along with one World Cup.
The Spanish national team debut its 2014 adidas kit during friendlies with Equatorial Guinea and South Africa over the next week.
