Italian Serie A club SS Lazio have launched a limited edition Macron commemorative jersey to celebrate the 100th birthday of club legend Silvio Piola.
Piola played for Lazio from 1935 to 1943 scoring 290 goals for the Biancocelesti along the way. He also won the 1938 FIFA World Cup with Italy while employed by the Rome club.
The individually numbered SS Lazio 2013/14 Silvio Piola Commemorative Macron home kit is in the club’s traditional sky blue with white accents. It uses a classic ringer design with a tonal Lazio badge and Macron logo.
Piola’s image and signature are printed on the shirt’s inner upper back area while his signature and the number “290” are embroidered on the jersey’s left sleeve. Finally, the striker’s favored number “9” is stitched onto the back on the kit.
SS Lazio will wear the 2013/14 Silvio Piola Commemorative Macron home kit when it faces Fiorentina in Serie A action at the Stadio Olimpico on October 6th.
Lazio released its 13/14 Macron playing range in July. You can see kits making up the collection here.
