Club Universitario de Deportes 2013 Umbro Limited Edition Jersey

Twenty-five time Peruvian Primera Division champions Club Universitario de Deportes have unveiled a limited edition, retro-styled 2013 jersey.

The new jersey celebrates the 100th birthday of club and Peru national team legend Teodoro “Lolo” Fernández. The striker spent his entire professional career with La U from 1931 to 1953 notching 157 goals in 180 matches. It also pays homage to Universitario’s many championship teams.

The Universitario de Deportes 2013 Umbro Limited Edition jersey uses a classic look reminiscent of football shirts of the 1930s and 40s. Fernández’ year of birth, 1913, is embroidered on its rear back collar while the text “En Honor a Nuestros Ídolos” (In Honor of Our Idols) appears on the inner rear collar.
