Sydney FC 2013 adidas “Community Strip”

Current club of former Juventus and Italy striker Alessandro Del Piero, Sydney FC has released a special edition 2013 adidas kit in the name of charity.

According to the club’s website: Sydney FC will take to the field in its 200th Hyundai A-League game on Sunday against Brisbane Roar in a one-off “Community Strip” designed by a Sky Blues Member that will help raise money for Sydney FC Community Partner, Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI).

The all-white strip with sky blue pin stripes and royal blue sleeves was designed by Cove member Adam Walter and selected from over 1,000 entries submitted through an adidas miteam facebook competition in November last year.

Sky Blues goalkeepers Vedran Janjetovic and Ivan Necevski will also walk onto Allianz Stadium in a new “Community Strip”, choosing the traditional Sky Blue as the primary colour after years of wearing white, green, yellow, black and orange shirts.

The Sydney FC 2012/13 home and away kits were unveiled in September of last year.
