Twenty-nine time Primera División de Chile champions Club Social y Deportivo Colo-Colo (commonly called Colo-Colo) unveiled their 2013 home and away kits from Umbro on Wednesday night at Santiago’s Estadio Monumental.
Umbro’s first major kit release for 2013 sees the white Colo-Colo home jersey use the same design as the Manchester City 2012/13 home shirt. The black away kit is the first to use the same design as the England 2012 home shirt.
The Colo-Colo 2013 home and away jerseys both feature embroidery of the Copa Libertadores above the club badge. This is in recognition of El Eterno Campeón’s (The Eternal Champion’s) sole win in South America’s club championship in 1991. They also feature golden embroidery on their rear collars reading “COLO COLO 2013”.
Last Chilean champions in 2009, Colo-Colo finished the Apertura 2012 season in sixth place and made it to the semi-finals of the post-season playoffs.
