AC Milan’s players donned club-sanctioned Anti-Racism versions of their adidas 2012/13 home jersey during their warm-ups for Sunday’s Italian Serie match with Siena at the San Siro. The jerseys featured the test “AC MILAN AGAINST RACISM” or “AC MILAN CONTRO IL RAZZISMO” in the club’s official 12/13 player name print on their backs. The English version of the shirt is now available at Subside Sports.
The move was prompted by blatant racist taunting directed to the Rossoneri’s black players during an exhibition match at third division Pro Patria on Thursday. Milan’s players walked off the field in the 26th minute of the fixture in protest of the crowd’s action.
