Basque Country 2012/13 Astore Home Kit

The Basque Country soccer team be considered the national team of the Basque Country greater region in Spain. The side is composed of players from the Basque Country Autonomous Community, nearby Navarre and the Northern Basque Country in France. It is referred to by various names including Euskal Herriko Selekzioa, Selección de Euskadi, Euskal Selekzioa, Euskadi XI and Basque XI.

The Basque Country football team is neither affiliated with nor recognized by FIFA or UEFA and only plays non-sanctioned friendly matches. Well-known players who have represented the team include French and Spanish internationals such as Bixente Lizarazu, Didier Deschamps, Iván Campo, Fernando Llorente and Xabi Alonso.

On Tuesday, the Euskadiko Futbol Federakundea (Basque Football Federation) launched the Euskal Selekzioa 2012/13 home kit from Spanish sportswear firm Astore. It should see action in December when the team usually plays an international friendly over the Spanish La Liga winter break.
