Unión Deportiva Las Palmas, S.A.D. is a Spanish soccer club based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands.
Founded on 22 August 1949, the team currently plays in Segunda División or Liga Adelante. A regular in Spain’s top-tier of football from the 1960s to the 1980s, UD Las Palmas last competed in La Liga in 2002.
Before the start of the current season, Las Palmas launched its 2012/13 home and away kits from technical sponsor Hummel. The club’s home kit uses its traditional yellow jersey with blue shorts while the away kit is all black. Both have seen match action during Las Palmas’ current campaign.
