Czech powerhouse AC Sparta Prague (Czech: AC Sparta Praha) has launched its Nike 2012/13 kit collection for its domestic and UEFA Europa League campaigns.
According to a release from the American sportswear firm: Nike has fused a traditional design with innovative technologies in its new, environmentally friendly kit for the Czech Republic’s most successful football club.
AC Sparta Prague’s home and away kit design for 2012/2013 remains the same, but a third kit has been introduced to celebrate club’s history and heritage.
Designs for all three kits feature traditional club colors. At home, players will wear iconic red jerseys with a dark red, geometrical pattern. The away kit is in traditional yellow. The new version of the kit is a two-tone edition of white that has been used as a third color on Sparta shirts throughout the club’s history.
The shirt’s modern round collar is red, coordinating with red stripes on the sleeves and hemline to celebrate “Red Sparta.” A message inside the back of the neck reads “1912,” which pays homage to the club’s first home title and inspires a new generation of players.
“We like the clean design of the new jerseys,” said Ladislav Krejci at the photo shoot for the new kit. “I hope it will bring us luck and success in the new season.”
