After a an extended stint donning Umbro gear, English Premier League side Sunderland AFC recently switched technical sponsor to adidas. The club has since launched its away kit for next season and today its 2012/13 adidas home kit.
According to the Black Cats’ website: Sunderland’s traditional red and white shirt sports the famous three stripes of adidas, and features the latest ClimaCool fabric designed to regulate the body temperature and actively conduct heat away from the body.
The black shorts are trimmed with red and, in a change to last season, the players will sport black socks with a red trim.
Under the guidance of well-respected manager Martin O’Neill, Sunderland finished last season in thirteenth position in the Premier League. The club kicks off its 2012/13 campaign on August 18th against Arsenal.
