Relegated from the German Bundesliga at the end of last season, 1. Fussball-Club Kaiserslautern, also known as 1. FCK, FCK or FC Kaiserslautern has unveiled its home, away and third kits for the 2012/13 2. Bundesliga season. The kit is made by German sportswear company Uhlsport.
The new FCK kits were launched on Sunday with modeling from players Florian Dick, Albert Bunjaku, Enis Alushi, Tobias Sippel, David Hohs and Marius Müller at the club’s Fritz-Walter Stadion.
After two years of using a redesigned badge, FC Kaiserslautern returns to its classic and well-known badge. This was done in an effort to remind the club’s fans of its most successful years, championships and cup wins.
All of the new shirts include the text “Die Roten Teufel vom Betzenberg” (“The Red Devils of Betzenberg”) on their neck lines along with one of the three stanzas of the club’s “Betze-Liedes” song printed on their inside upper back areas.
Once the club of well-known players such as Michael Ballack, Miroslav Klose, Halil AltÄ±ntop and Youri Djorkaeff, FC Kaiserslautern has four Bundesliga titles.
