Palmeiras adidas 2012 Home Kit

Eight-time Brazilian champions Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras (usually called Palmeiras) launched their adidas 2012 home kit on Thursday at the Academia de Futebol training center.

The new Palmeiras jersey features near elbow length sleeves reminiscent of the football kits of the 1990s and early 2000s and is a shade of green darker than last year’s home shirt. It incorporates a design made of geometric shapes at the upper chest area along with accents in silver and white throughout.

The new Verdão (Big Green) home kit will see action for the first time on May 19th when the club hosts Portuguesa at the Arena Palestra Italia in the first round of the 2012 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.

Last Brazilian league champions in 1994, Palmieras finished the 2011 Série A season in eleventh position.
