Last season’s German Bundesliga runners-up Bayer 04 Leverkusen have unveiled their adidas 2012/13 home kit to be worn by team captain Simon Rolfes, André Schürrle and the rest of the Werkself (“Factory Squad”) starting this weekend.
According to the club website: Bayer 04 will start the new 2012/13 campaign in the traditional club colours of red and black. Leverkusen have worked with their established kit supplier adidas and again opted for this pwerful combination of colours.
The red shirt also has black pinstripes and other elements in a contrasting colour. One special detail is a high-quality stitched ‘Werkself’ lettering on the back of the shirt.
Bayer 04 club captain Simon Rolfes was thrilled: “The new shirt conveys a cool and great feeling and is really comfortable.” Germany team-mate André Schürrle was also impressed by the lightness of the material and the design of the shirt…
The first team will wear the new kit on penultimate matchday of the current campaign in the home game aginst Hannover 96 on Saturday 28 April (kick-off: 15.30 CET).
