Lionel Messi’s Ballon d’Or 2011 adidas adizero f50 Soccer Boots

adidas is celebrating FC Barcelona and Argentina forward Lionel Messi’s third consecutive FIFA Ballon d’Or / World Player of the year award with the release of a special edition pair of the adizero f50 miCoach soccer boots.

The gold and white boots feature an Argentine flag on their heel area, the years of Messi’s FIFA Ballon d’Or awards (2009, 2010, 2011) and Messi’s recently launched logo on their outside adidas stripes, and the text “FIFA BALLON D’OR PLAYER OF THE YEAR” below their instep  adidas stripes.

The adidas adizero f50 has been Messi’s boot of choice since their launch in September 2011. He is expected to debut the new boots during FC Barcelona’s Spanish La Liga meeting with Real Betis on Sunday, January 15th, 2011.
