Shimizu S-Pulse is a professional Japanese soccer club based in Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka. S-Pulse currently competes in the J. League Division 1 (J1). The team was in the news earlier this year for signing former Sweden and Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg following his stints in MLS and with Celtic.
Although Shimizu S-Pulse has never won a J1 title, it did take home the 2000 Asian Cup Winners Cup and 2001 Emperor’s Cup and is often a top five league finisher.
Earlier this week, the Shimizu S-Pulse PUMA 2012 home and away kits were unveiled via the club’s website. Both appear to use a new PUMA jersey design similar to that of the Italy EURO 2012 home shirt. Now the club’s marquee player, Freddie Ljungberg models the new home uniform.
