New York Cosmos Umbro 2011/12 Away Jersey

On August 1st, 2010, the legendary Pelé announced that The New York Cosmos are back in business.

The return of the what was once the biggest soccer club in the USA involved the launch of Cosmos Academy in NYC and LA and the club becoming the organizer of Copa NYC, a World Cup-style grassroots tournament that engages local communities to represent their countries of origin. The club may also seek to enter Major League Soccer in the near future.

As part of the relaunch of the New York Cosmos the club’s Umbro 2011 home jersey was unveiled.  Now the Cosmos’ Umbro 2011/12 away kit in the club’s famed road green has hit the streets. According to Umbro:

Drawing inspiration from the club’s past, but also embracing their exciting future, the New York Cosmos away shirt is a classy mixture of Umbro’s tailoring expertise and NYC swagger. In a rich green colour with a unique contoured neckline and vented seam for increased breathability, the shirt also features dart shaping on the back for improved fit and ribbed panelling on the underarm for extra movement.
