Novara Calcio caught the attention of soccer fans on Tuesday with its 3-1 win over powerhouse Inter Milan in their first Italian Serie meeting in 55 years.
The club from the Piedmont region of Italy returned to Serie A after triumphing in the final of the 2010/11 Serie B playoff final. The promotion was Novara’s second in two seasons following its promotion from the third tier of Italian soccer, Lega Pro Prima Divisione, at the end of the 2009/10 season.
Novara launched its Joma 2011/12 kit collection before the start of the new Serie A season. It consists of the club’s traditional blue home shirt with black shorts, an all white away strip, and a third uniform made up of a red jersey and black shorts.
