The Peru Umbro 2011/12 home jersey to be used for the first part of the team’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign was officially launched on Friday.
The new kit takes a new spin on Peru’s traditional white shirt with a red sash via the incorporation of the colors of the Incan empire of Tawantinsuyo and its flag, the Unancha, on its collar and neckline. The jersey’s sash tapers in the waist area in the front and back of the kit.
The Peru Umbro 2011/12 home kit will make its on the field debut on October 7th when La Blanquirroja (the Red and White) meets Paraguay in Lima for the first match of their 2014 World Cup qualifying run.
