Manchester United Nike 2011/12 UEFA Champions League Jerseys

Defending English Premier League champions Manchester United have released slightly modified versions of their 2011/12 Nike home and away jerseys for their UEFA Champions League campaign.

The 2010/11 UEFA Champions Leasgue finalists’ European kits for this year’s competition are identical to their English Premier League shirt but have the following changes:

– The UEFA Champions League Starball patch on the right sleeve
– UEFA’s Respect Campaign (aimed at combating violence, racism, xenophobia and homophobia while increasing fan support, intercultural dialogue, the environment and humanitarian relief) patch on the left sleeve

– A specially designed Manchester United Champions League font for player names and numbers. The font differs from the English Premier League font used by all of the league’s teams during domestic competition.

Manchester United kicks off its 2011/12 UEFA Champions league campaign on Wednesday against Benfica. The Red Devils will also meet FC Basel and FC Oţelul Galaţi in Group C of the competition.
