Suriname Kelme 2011/13 Home Kit / Thuistenue
Once the kit provider of Real Madrid, Spanish sportswear firm Kelme recently signed a deal to become the official kit provider of the Suriname national soccer team.
Though a slew of Suriname-born players and Dutch-born players of Surinamese descent such as Ruud Gullit, Frank Rijkaard, Edgar Davids, Clarence Seedorf, Ryan Babel, Aron Winter, and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink have represented the Netherlands at the World Cup, Surinam has never qualified for the competition. Nor has the South American nation ever won a CONCACAF championship.
With Suriname’s 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2012 London Olympics campaigns underway, the team’s 2011/13 home kit has been launched by Kelme. It recently saw action in CONCACAF Olympic qualifiers and will be Suriname’s first choice strip when it meets El Salvador, the Cayman Islands, the Dominican Republic in Round Two of CONCACAF’s World Cup qualification process.
