Japanese J-League title contenders Gamba Osaka (ガンãƒå¤§é˜ª) have launched special edition outfield player and goalkeeper jerseys to commemorate the club’s 20th Anniversary of existence. Though originally founded in 1980 as the soccer team of the Matsushita Electric Industrial Co,. the club did not evolve into Gamba Osaka until 1991.
The Gamba Osaka 20th Anniversary kits will be worn during the club’s October 2nd meeting with Urawa Reds at the Expo ’70 Stadium. The meeting will mark the club’s 20th year of competitive matches as Gamba Osaka.
The Gamba Osaka Umbro 2011 home, away and third kits were launched in February.
