Olympique Marseille adidas 2011/12 European Kit / Maillot

Nine-time French Ligue 1 champion Olympique de Marseille has unveiled it adidas 2011/12 European or third kit.

Although Olympique Marseille was unable to emulate its 2009/10 championship run in the 2010/11 season, the popular club managed a second place Ligue 1 finish and won the Coupe de la Ligue. OM’s league position earned the club a spot in the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League.

The Olympique Marseille adidas 2011/12 European jersey uses orange as its primary color. The club’s color choice is inspired by the use of orange by Marseille’s supporters in the 1980s as a sign of rejection of intolerance. Today orange is used by OM as a sign of solidarity and diversity.

Olympique Marseille launched its adidas 2011/12 home and away kits in mid-May. Both are now available at World Soccer Shop.
