Athletic Bilbao Umbro 2011/12 Home Jersey / Camiseta

Spanish La Liga stalwarts and eight time league champions Athletic Club de Bilbao have launched their Umbro home kit for the 2011/12 season (now available at Subside Sports). Using a Tailored by Umbro theme, the kit presentation took place earlier today at the club’s Sala Lezama.

The launch of the Atletic Bilbao 11/12 Umbro home kit follows that of the club’s new away strip in April. The Bilbao home shirt uses a new Umbro design first seen in the Southampton 11/12 home kit.

According to Umbro:

Tailored by Umbro for the forthcoming 2011/12 season, the new Athletic Club home shirt has been revealed as the team celebrate their 100th anniversary. Inspired by the unique values and history of the Basque team, the shirt features Athletic Club’s red and white stripes in a distinct Herringbone print inspired by traditional tailoring. With a special centenary authenticator on the hem, the shirt also features a special collar designed specificially with performance in mind, with a rib insert for extra comfort.

Athletic Bilbao kicks off its 2011/12 La Liga campaign on August 21st against Real Madrid at the the Santiago Bernabeu.
