FC Steaua Bucharesti Nike 2011/12 Home Jersey
FC Steaua București (or FC Steaua Bucharest) is a Romanian professional football club from Ghencea, south-west Bucharest. It is the most successful Romanian football team in European competitions and in the Romanian Liga I (23 championship wins). Steaua finished last season’s league campaign in 5th place.
The FC Steaua Bucharesti Nike 2011/12 home kit was launched on Thursday. The team’s new jersey features a design similar to that of the FC Barcelona 2011/12 home shirt. It will be used as the Steaua Bucharest first choice kit for the upcoming Romanian Liga I and Romanian Cup seasons.
According to the Steaua website (translated from Romanian):
The home kit retains traditional colors recognized by all supporters of Steaua Bucharesti, but this time they are placed in a novel combination of asymmetric vertical stripes, inspired by the construction of the world’s tallest building – the Burj Kalifa in Dubai. On the inside of the club badge is inscribed the motto “Trup și suflet pentru culori” taken from the Steaua anthem.
