English Premier League stalwarts Everton FC have launched their le coq sportif 2011/12 home kit. Its release follows that of the Everton 11/12 away kit in May.
The main change with this season’s shirt sees the return of a collar, adding a classic, vintage look. It is also the first time the home shirt has featured a collar since the 2000/2001 season.
And with the Club reverting to amber for its now hugely popular away shirt, the colour has been incorporated into the home design with subtle amber piping through the collar and sleeves.
The strip will be officially launched with an event at the Everton One megastore, adjacent to Goodison Park.
The Blues players have all given the kit their backing and one of David Moyes’ first team stars will be at the store to meet fans as they get their hands on it for the first time.
The Everton le coq sportif home and away kits will see match action for the first time in mind-July when the Toffees kick-off their pre-season with matches against the likes of the Philadelphia Union, DC United and Birmingham City FC.
