Third place Spanish La Liga finisher Valencia CF launched its 2011/12 home, away and third strips on Friday from new equipment provider Joma. They are now available at World Soccer Shop.
According to the Los Che website:
Valencia’s port has hosted Formula 1 and Copa America events recently, so it is undoubtedly accustomed to a big occasion. Where better, then, to unveil the new kit for the region’s top football team?
Alongside manufacturers Joma, Valencia CF gave the official presentation of the 2011/12 season kits at the Veles e Vents building. In attendance were over a hundred schoolchildren and all of the city’s sporting press, watching on as a spectacular event played out in front of them. Players Vicente Guaita, Aritz Aduriz, David Albelda and Roberto Soldado arrived by speedboat, making the coolest entry of the day. Each of the quartet was decked out in one of the new kits for the upcoming season (the three outfield strips and the goalkeeping jersey).
Joma have opted for a white shirt, a more intense orange number and a slick black garment for VCF to use in the league, cup and Champions League. Soldado wore the home strip (white and black), Albelda the away shirt (black) and Aduriz the third choice kit (orange with white shorts) Guaita’s goalkeeping attire was one of those chosen by Joma -on this occasion a blue jersey and shorts combination.
Each of the kits have a gold trim, anti-irritation stitching, the VCF bat on the back and ‘ Amunt VCF’ eblazoned on the sleeve.
Valencian actor Arturo Valls needed little persuasion to swap his shirt for the new Senyera shirt, as he led the presentation as master of ceremonies.
Attendees included: Fructuoso López, Joma President; Manuel Llorente, Valencia CF President; Damià Vidagany, VCF Communications Direcor; Jordi Bruixola, External Relations Director; Társilo Piles, VCF Foundation Director; Cristóbal Grau, Sports Councillor; Blas Madrigal, VCF Supporters Groups President; Braulio Vázquez, VCF Chief Administrator; Voro, First Team Delegate; Juan Sánchez, Former VCF Player and José Bonet, Valencia CF supporter number one.
