Leyton Orient PUMA 2011/12 Home and Away Kits

Leyton Orient FC is an English professional football club based in east London currently playing in League One of the Football League. The team is often known to its fans simply as the Os and finished the recently concluded season in 7th place, missing a promotion playoff spot by one point.

On Wednesday, the Leyton Orient FC PUMA 2011/12 home and way kits were launched. According to the club website:

For next season, the O’s will introduce a brand new home and away strip, featuring the famous PUMA formstripe logo. The two stripes on the new Leyton Orient PUMA King shirts are inspired by a famous story involving Johan Cruyff, in which during the 1974 World Cup Final, he removed the third stripe from his supplied Netherlands shirt, out of respect and loyalty to his boot sponsor – PUMA.

The home kit features the same Chinese red colour scheme as used by the club in recent seasons, while the away shirt, which is royal blue with a yellow trim, is inspired by the designs of the 1970s yellow O’s change kits and features a white tonal club crest for the first time.
