Motherwell FC PUMA 125th Anniversary Kit
Motherwell Football & Athletic Club is a Scottish professional football club based in Motherwell. The club competes in the Scottish Premier League and is one of only seven teams to have remained in this league since it was founded in 1998.
Motherwell is currently in 6th position in the 2011/12 SPL table and will meet Celtic in the final of the Scottish Cup on May 21st. As it celebrates its 125th Anniversary, the club has released a special edition home jersey to commemorate the occasion.
According to the Motherwell website:
We have designed, along with Puma and some special assistance from a lifelong ‘Well fan William Kay, a retro shirt in the classic Motherwell style. This shirt is made from modern heavy knit polyester fabric and incorporates a replica of the first MFC script badge to be used ion the Motherwell shirt.
Using his design skills and knowledge of Motherwell kits through the ages William has incorporated a little of the detail of our special anniversary whilst not detracting from the traditional script badge. The band on the Motherwell shirt is the most recognised feature on our shirts over the years and it was essential that we maintain that particular tradition.
