Atlético Paranaense Umbro 2011 87th Anniversary Jersey / Camisa

Clube Atlético Paranaense is a Brazilian football team from Curitiba in Paraná that currently campaigns in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. The club was league champion in 2001 and finished the 2010 season in an impressive 5th place.

Atlético Paranaense celebrated its 87th Anniversary this past weekend with the launch of a special edition Umbro commemorative kit. The new jersey is a reinterpretation of that worn by the club when it won its first Campeonato Paranaense (Paraná State Championship) in 1925.

It features the red and black horizontal stripe design that the club used in the 1920s. Atlético Paranaense has since switched to vertical stipes on its home kits.

The Atlético Paranaense Umbro 87th Anniverary kit was used for the first time during Saturday’s Campeonato Paranaense 2-0 win over modest Cascavel.
