Brazil Squad for Scotland Friendly Named

Brazil national team coach Mano Menezes has announced his 24-man squad for the team’s March 27th friendly with Scotland at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in London.

Returning to the team for the first time since the 2010 FIFA World Cup are centerback Lucio, rightback Maicon and midfielder Elano. However, Flamengo midfielder Ronaldinho and AC Milan striker Robinho have been left out of the team despite showing good form in recent times. Playmakers Kaka and Ganso were also omitted as they recover from injuries.

Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Vitor (Gremio), Jefferson (Botafogo).

Defenders: Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Maicon (Inter Milan), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Andre Santos (Fenerbahce), Lucio (Inter Milan), David Luiz (Chelsea), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), Luisao (Benfica).

Midfielders: Lucas (Liverpool), Ramires (Chelsea), Sandro (Tottenham), Elias (Atletico Madrid), Lucas (Sao Paulo), Henrique (Cruzeiro), Renato Augusto (Bayern Leverkusen), Jadson (Shakhtar), Elano (Santos).

Forwards: Jonas (Valencia), Alexandre Pato (Milan), Nilmar (Villarreal), Neymar (Santos).
