Currently fighting relegation with a very young team, Feyenoord is a Dutch professional football club located in Rotterdam. Along with Ajax and PSV, Feyenoord is considered to be one of the “big three” clubs in the Netherlands. The club has won 14 Dutch Championships, 11 Dutch Cups and 2 Dutch Supercups to along with the 1970 European Cup, the 1974 and 2002 UEFA Cups and the 1970 Intercontinental Cup.
With players Ron Vlaar and Leroy Fer acting as models, Feyenoord launched its 2011/12 Puma home and away kits last night in conjunction with the opening of its new fanshop.
While the new home kit maintains the club’s red and white two-toned tradition, the Feyenoord away kit for next season is based on the team’s 1962 away strip which consisted of a light blue shirt with a V-neck collar. Two diagonal lines in Feyenoord’s famed red and black have been added to the shirt to complete its design.
