Popular Los Angeles-based Major League Soccer club Chivas USA has unveiled its adidas 2011 home and away jerseys on Wednesday night. While the home kit design is the same as that used by the team during the 2010 MLS season, the away kit is brand new. Both shirts also feature the logo of new sponsor Corona.
According to a press release from the club:
As part of this multi-year agreement, the Corona Extra logo will appear on Chivas USA team gear, as well as having a significant and visible presence at Chivas USA’s home games and other events. This year’s Chivas USA home jerseys will feature the traditional red and white colors with blue shorts, as well as blue socks. The away kit will also feature the traditional blue jersey, with white shorts and blue socks.
Following a disappointing 2010 season that saw Chivas USA finish in last place in the MLS Western Conference, the club is rebuilding under new coach and former USA international Robin Fraser. The Chivas USA adidas 2010 jerseys should see their first action when the club meets D.C. United on February 25th and FC Dallas on March 12th in pre-season action.
